New store for Camper in Barcelona at the luxury retail space La Roca Village. Part of the , this latests addition to our long collaboration with the brand we have expanded on the them set with our previous stores, featuring custom handmade furniture and geometric patterns of 10x10 tiles.
Beginning with a much larger area than in our previous collaborations, we have chosen to integrate a staggered zigzag pattern along the wall to make the most effcient use of the space. By adding these “double-sided” columns, products can be displayed attractively alongside mirrors and benches that are embedded throughout the design.
For the walls, we looked into the tradition and craftsmanship of Catalan artisans. The natural terracotta tiles found in so many courtyards and public spaces throughout the region act as the ideal background to showcase new Camper collections. The dark green terrazzo floors were developed with Huguet, a Majorcan company specialising in the production of original handmade hydraulic tiles since 1933.
Made of solid pieces of Douglas pine measuring 11 meters long, the two large display tables in the center of the space were custom-built and handcrafted in Barcelona. We worked with a very experienced Italian ceramics company to produce the natural terracotta lampshades. For the lighting we worked with another Italian company with huge expertise and technical know how providing solutions for retail spaces.
