Camper opens a new shop in the city of London, the brand’s fifth in this city and the second collaboration with Tomás Alonso for their Camper Together series.
The interior is lined with a grid of white 10 x 10cm ceramic tiles with a simple twist that breaks the regular pattern with geometric interventions that create the illusion of recesses and volumes on the walls, combining them with actual volumes.
All of the furniture was designed and handcrafted specifically for the shop at Tomás Alonso’s studio in London. Based on the formal and structural language that two materials as dissimilar as lacquer tubing and natural wood – in this case, white oak – can create together. This language also extends to the stairs and the cash desk unit. The ceramic lamps are also original designs hand made in Italy.
