The space presented at Salon Art + Design NY is part of a larger ongoing project - the Vaalbeek House - a renovation of a country house in Belgium for which we have been commissioned to completely rethink the interior spacesand design all the furnishings, from doorknobs to window curtains, following some of the ideals of total concept houses from the early 20th century.

Following our belief that any design project should always be a total experience regardless of its scale, we approached the space with a set of clear principles determined by the very context of the project.

Our recurrent working method based on understanding and deconstructing all the elements that compose the object (space in this case) into its basic units to then put them back together into clean and coherent solutions. The aim was to improve the space itself from an aesthetic and constructive point of view, while keeping functionality and the needs of the people using it at the center of the project.
