Val do Barco is the fruit of the first collaboration between Tomas Alonso and Sirvent Editions, a small store/editor from Vigo, in the north west of Spain. A series of tables born from a common interest in autochthonous raw materials as well as local techniques for their manipulation.

A tribute to his country of origin in which materials such as granite Vincios and chestnut wood from Lalin are worked by hand by skilled professionals and finished naturally, with the aim of preserving tradition, natural resources and labor specialised trades found in the region.

The basic volumes that make these pieces emphasise the natural beauty of the two materials and contrast with the powder coated tubes that connect them. These standard tubes lock the parts together, provide stability at the feet and also allow the granite blocks to be more easily handled when moving them.
